Chongqing Cummins Engine Co., LTD., a Sino-American joint venture, was established in October 1995, located in the Tomb of Martyrs, Shapingba District, Chongqing. The Chinese parent company is Chongqing Mechanical and Electrical Co., LTD., and the foreign parent company is Cummins (China) Investment Co., LTD., with the investment ratio of both parties accounting for 50%. There are more than 1400 employees. Chongqing Cummins, formerly known as Chongqing Automobile Engine Factory, has been designing and manufacturing diesel engines since the 1950s.
